In plain language: Closer processes the active DriveCentric lead only after an authorized user accepts the in-product disclosure and chooses to read that lead. It uses that information to understand the full conversation, search dealership inventory, and draft a reply. Closer does not sell data, use it for advertising, determine creditworthiness, or send customer messages.

Scope

This policy applies to the Closer for DriveCentric Chrome extension and its associated Closer service ("Closer," "we," or "us"). Closer is an independent workflow assistant and is not affiliated with or endorsed by DriveCentric.

Information Closer processes

After the user accepts the disclosure and clicks Read lead, Closer may process information visible in the active lead:

• customer and dealership names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, and dealership identifiers;
• the visible lead conversation, CRM notes and activities, message authors, timestamps, and communication preferences;
• vehicle, inventory, appointment, location, payment, finance, and trade details when they appear in the lead;
• the Closer user's account, role, dealership, feature usage, feedback, and audit events; and
• technical data needed for authentication, security, reliability, billing, and troubleshooting.

The extension stores limited information in Chrome local storage: Closer authentication state, the user's consent acknowledgement, and any customer-needs summary the user intentionally edits. The production service URL is fixed in the published extension.

How Closer uses information

Closer uses information only to read the active lead, distinguish customer messages from dealership messages and CRM automation, understand customer needs and message timing, create and refine requested replies, search and verify available inventory, enforce account controls, secure the service, support users, and diagnose failures.

Generated replies are editable and are copied only when the user clicks Copy reply. Closer does not automatically insert, post, or send a message.

When information leaves the browser

Reading a lead parses visible content locally. To retrieve customer-needs memory, generate a reply, or search inventory, Closer sends the relevant lead data and user direction over HTTPS to the Closer service. The service may send relevant prompt content to OpenAI to produce the requested reply. Hosting, database, monitoring, authentication, and infrastructure providers may process information only as needed to operate Closer.

Storage and retention

The Closer service may retain customer-needs memory, submitted lead context, prompts, generated drafts, selected inventory references, evaluation and feedback results, usage records, and audit metadata. Records support conversation continuity, quality controls, security, support, and billing and are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to dealership instructions and legal or security obligations.

Sharing, sale, and advertising

We disclose information only to the participating dealership and its authorized users, service providers acting on our instructions, or when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, build advertising profiles, or determine creditworthiness.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Closer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information obtained through the extension is used only to provide or improve Closer's single, user-facing purpose and is not transferred for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or sale to data brokers.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted transport, authenticated access, role controls, and audit logging. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Choices and requests

A user can decline the disclosure, avoid reading a lead, edit or discard every reply, sign out, and remove locally stored extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing its data. Closer blocks customer-facing reply generation when the active lead shows an opt-out signal. Children

Closer is a business tool for authorized dealership personnel and is not directed to children.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when required.
